Airport reporting and briefing
What happens between arriving at the airport and boarding the aircraft.
Crew report to a designated area, pass identification and security checks, and meet the rest of the team for that flight — often people they have never flown with before.
During the briefing, the senior crew member reviews the flight details: route, flight time, expected weather, special passengers (such as unaccompanied minors, passengers needing assistance, or VIPs), and any safety equipment items to double-check.
The briefing is also where crew confirm each person's position and responsibilities for that specific flight, and where questions get asked before doors close.
