Recruitment & Interview Preparation

Official requirements

Minimum age, height/arm-reach, education and language requirements are set by each airline and published on its official careers site — always confirm current figures there.

Official requirements

Swimming ability and a valid passport with unrestricted travel are commonly required by international airlines.

Publicly reported experience

Many candidates publicly report that assessment days include group exercises, a final interview and an English (or relevant language) assessment — exact formats can vary and change over time.

General advice

Research the airline's public information, practise clear and confident communication, and prepare specific personal examples in advance.

The STAR method

S — Situation — briefly set the scene.
T — Task — explain what needed to be done.
A — Action — describe exactly what you did.
R — Result — share the outcome, ideally with a measurable or clear impact.
